Sethu Samundram Project – Mumbai

Sethu Samundram Project (Considering the time name suits
better)

Dahisar (East)

Mumbai – 400068

One fine day around January 2013.

I saw JCB machines on road {Shiv Vallabh Road, Dahisar
(East), Mumbai – 40068}. I have given the link below for google map in case you
are interested to know the actual location. JCB machines started digging road.
Citizens were surprised that why such a fine road is getting destroyed. We came
to know that the road will be renovated with full of concrete slabs so there
should not be any major wear & tear in future.

Shiv Vallabh Road

Locals got happy that in few months the entire 0.5 Kilometer
patch will be of concrete. In few days, we noticed that JCB machine disappeared
from road. There were hardly 3-4 guys from contractor team to carry out the
work. The work was progressing slower than the Ekta kapoor’s Serial. I reported
same into Citizen Journalist website of CNN IBN but I guess, The Contractor
didn’t read my reporting on website. Contractor repaired patches in pieces by
Mid 2013 & left the side.

I am posting couple of pictures, I had posted on CNN IBN
website below .

One fine day around October 2013.

JCB machine popped up
again & they started digging the remaining part of 0.5 Kilo meter road. The
contractor is following the same method which he followed in phase 1. The way
development of road is taking place it will take another 6 months. The slow
pace of contractor is creating traffic problem & chaos for local people.

I am posting few new photos of road, I clicked yesterday.

It’s almost a year
for this 0.5KM project. The way renovation of this 0.5KM road is taking place, I
decided to name it “Sethu Samundram Project.”

Go to hell Mr.VVIP

Dear Mr.VVIP

I am from Mumbai and writing you this letter because I don’t
like when you come to my city. Mr.VVIP major portion of your chunk belongs to
Political leaders. I have no issue with your VVIP status but please do your
VVIPgiri in Delhi only where you have many connected road to reach a location (Deliwallas
– if you are also angry then you also write a letter for same). In my city we
only have Western Express highway which is carrying vehicles more than it’s
capacity.

You come to my city for XYZ reason this traffic pandus are forced
to give you priority on road during pick hour. My Boss don’t care who was
fucking VVIP due to whom I spent 30minutes more in traffic and reached office
late. He believes that you should not be there to give excuse for failure. So I
also don’t care for your visit in my city.

You failed to do anything for my city Mumbai. Our infrastructure
projects are 10years behind the scheduled. Mumbai Metro’s development is developing
like Birbal Ki Khichadi. Every year it gets delayed by few more years. I don’t
complaint you for not doing rapid development but same time I don’t want you to
see you on my road, creating trouble for us.

Do you carry horns on your head?

Answer is NO

 then why you want all
of us to stops at our place for 30minutes to give you pass to reach your
destination.

Go to hell Mr.VVIP.

Please don’t come to my city Mumbai. If you want to come here
then come like Mumbaikar. Please keep your RED light off. We don’t care who you
are. We don’t care where are you going. We only know that you can’t help us so
don’t create trouble for us.

So at last go to hell, don’t come to my city.

Ganpati-Power-Faith

Ganesh Utsav the festival to get blessing from Ganesha.

Ganesh Utsav is not traditional festival of India. Ganesh Utsav was started by
Lokmanya Tilak Ji as British government had banned gathering of 3 or more
people at one place. Tilak Ji started Ganesh Utsav to hold meeting with people
involved in Freedom movement of India.

Over period of time Ganesh Utsav has
totally changed the meaning. There are many people from whom Ganesh Utsav is
just like 9days party. Now Ganpati is festival to collect money from people and
enjoy that money in the name of lord Ganesh. In the night you'll get many
people playing cards and drinking whisky in Ganpati Pandals of Mumbai. Political
parties are showing their power with Ganesh Utsav.

In city like mumbai where traffic on road is big problem, it’s get worse in
these 9-10 days. I am very sorry for the people who celebrate Ganesh Utsav with
faith and trust but that class in getting sink. We all need blessing of Lord
Ganesha but that doesn't mean we should get drunk and fight on road to
celebrate Ganpati. Two group of people are fighting to decide their Territory
to collect donation so it shows everyone want to enjoy from the money collected
in name of Ganpati. Ganesh Utsav now became festival for noise pollution than
worship of God.

Mumbai Riots (ASSAM or MYANMAAR)

CST riots due to ASSAM or
MYANMAAR ?

This was biggest question came into my mind when I heard
from a person who was in really to protest. As per the person he has been briefed
that there are many Muslims are getting killed everyday in Myanmar and Indian
Government should intervene to save Muslims of Myanmaar. As per him they have
seen video of massacre on youtube.

Group came on CST for peaceful protest and they just wanted
media to cover Mynmaar issue and government should put pressure on Myanmaar to control
to masscare on innocent muslim people. When they were protesting few people
came and started shouting on median people and damaged their vehicle and
instruments. A peaceful protest became Riot.

More surprising incident in hole this story is that after
Riots from media to hooligans all claimed and reported that the protest was for
Assam and not for Myanmaar. Crime Branch is investigating the case and lets
hope truth will be out soon.

Best Bus Fare Hike

In last month Mumbai Best Bus Service increased bus fare by
Rs1 but the reality check says that they increased best fare by 25%. Customers
are even daily fighting when Bus Conductor ask for Rs 20 in place on Rs 15. In
guess it’s higest increase in fare past 10 years. Media didn’t cover this hike
as in news it was Rs 1 increase and more of local issue.

Best is second largest Public transport in Mumbai after
Mumbai Local. There is no increase in Mumbai Local fare from long time but BEST
have increased their fare many times periodically. BEST even increased charges
for their one day Pass system from Rs 15 for south Mumbai & Rs 20 for North
Mumbai to Rs 40 for entire Mumbai, which was Rs25 earlier. Best also increased
their Monthly pass charges.

Fare incrase of A.C buses are more surprising as there are
no percentage ration for same. There is increase in fair from 25% to 65% whereas
services are same and their Bues are even trying to take breath in heavy
traffic of Mumbai and helping in traffic jam with their break down every now
and then.

In Mumbai Thane & Navi Mumbai Transportation system is
also running their Buses and they have not increased their fair so BEST can’t
give excuse for Loss as Best is running much bigger system than these small
partner and increasing demand always leads to low cost foe services.

I don’t see any chances that there will be roll back in Best
bus fare but we can always wait for BEST.

Why I Love(hate) Mumbai

Pritish Nandy wrote a post Why I love Mumbai and that got very
good response on social media. He gave 101 reasons or list of problems which Mumbaikar
faces daily. There were many good and bad examples like ban of Dance bar is
appreciated by many people in Mumbai but same time many people became unhappy
with decision.

I know there can be 101 reasons and problems in Mumbai but
at same time there are also 1001 reason to love Mumbai. Many Young people sitting
in remote corner of India has dream to come Mumbai one day. Mumbai is city of
dream. There were many people in past who came to Mumbai and got name, fame and
money in this dream city.

Sone(gold) Ki Raho Mai Son(sleep) Ki Jagah Nahi !!

There are many people across country who wants to come
Mumbai to fulfill their dream. Someone wants be Actor or someone wants to be
big entrepreneur. There are many opportunities in Mumbai and when it comes to money.
If you have the skill and talent then you can en cash it at your own price.

There are many problems in Mumbai but no mumbaikar wants to
leave this city of dream. There are many reasons for not leaving Mumbai and one
of the best reason is “In Mumbai no one sleep hungry”. You must not be having
place to sleep but you will always get rice place to eat.

I love my Mumbai and I will never
going to leave my city.

SKY WALK

In last
few years Mumbai got several of sky walk. This is good for our city. More sky
walk means more comfort to Mumbaikar as there are sky walk there is no need to
cross Road & Rail Track. If mumbaikars will use sky walk then there will be
less DEATH & ACCIDENTS. Tax payer’s money is getting right way i.e for
development of city. On sky walk you can walk thinking something or can do
tweeting and updating your facebook page as there is no chance that some Vehicle
will come and knock out you. Development of Sky walk has been done for good
reason but many issues came in light after development of sky walk.

Dahisar
Sky Walk 10.30am

Any day
of week you can walk on this Sky walk but you won't get anyone other than you
& security guard walking on this sky walk. They have kept security Guard on
Sky Walk so Love Birds won’t come there for kissing and missing.

Dahisar
Skywalk 07.30pm

I visited
sky walk at 7.30pm when there is no space to walk on Railway Station but this
flyover got hardly any feet to walk on them.

Dahisar
Skywalk 10.30pm

In the
Night also no one is there to walk so why such big skywalk get constructed
before any prior feasibility research. Crores of Money spent on construction of
these skywalks all over Mumbai. There are very few people walking on these sky
walk as it has been constructed on wrong place.

We are
getting scam after scam in every passing day and I thought to write this on
which you can think how our money is getting spent in many areas in name of
development. I am sure construction of this Sky walk is not scam but why so
many Sky Walk get constructed.

If you
don't have anyone to walk on these Skywalks then please remove all security
guards at least Lovers can use these skywalks as their Love Zone.

Pawar Shaheb

"Pawar Shaheb" the man from Baramati became a big name in politics of India. As being pioneer in congress he left the congress & made the foundation of National Congress Party when Soniag took over congress. I am sure he lost the chance to become PM when he left congress. Pawar is biggest Name in politics of Maharashtra. There is no one like him to represent Maharashtra on National level.

It's just irony of Maharashtra that Pawar didn't play any major role for development of Maharashtra. As you know I always write rumors so as per rumors He is one of the corrupt name in politics of Maharashtra but NCP has strong hold in vote bank of Maharashtra. Congress has no option then to support Pawar as without NCP, congress is like Lion without teeth "in Maharashtra."

There are people who believe that Pawar has shares in many companies.DB realty is one example. In IPL also his name came but got cleared quickly. One good thing about Pawar Shaheb "No one in Mahrashtra or India has dare to talk against him." Neera Radia has told the name of Real Owner of DB Realty.

I am sure no one can take any action against Pawar as he is so much powerful that same media which fires with AK47 on other Politician don't have guts to talk anything against him. Pawar Shaheb is true politician as he is on his chair from so many years and no one has dare to tell him "please stand up your time is over".

Shree Krishna has told one of his aunt’s Son that his 100 mistakes will be ignored but on 101 Krishna killed him. So Pawar has crossed the mark of 100 long time back let's see the result. Anna Hazare also opposed him for JanLokPal Committee ! Which makes Pawar Shaheb image more worst, when his name are getting link with DB Realty.

"I do hereby declare that whatever I have written above is rumor & I don't have any personal Intention to write anything against Pawar Shaheb."

Don't ask me why I have given above note. When News channels & Political leaders don’t have guts to talk against Pawar Shaheb so Who am I ? Don't want to see my body floating in some Naala of Mumbai.

Jay Pawar

Jay Mahrashtra

Bombay - Mumbai - My Take

Bombay was group of seven islands comprising Colaba, Mazagaon, Old Woman's Island, Wadala, Mahim, Parel, and Matunga-Sion formed a part of the kingdom of Ashoka the Great of Magadh, ironically in North India .

The Bhaiyas and Biharis whom the Thackerays accuse of being outsiders in Mumbai, come from the region, which was a part of Ashoka the Great's empire.. We judge everything according to history and the history of Mumbaiproves that its earliest known ownership was with a North Indian.

The seven islands of Mumbai passed through many hands, the sultans of Gujarat , the Portuguese and the British. Every ruler left behind proof of residence in Mumbai.

Those ruled Bombay gave their contribution towards development of Bombay.

Mauryans Constructed Kanheri, Mahakali and the caves of Gharapuri more popularly called Elephanta. The sultans of Gujarat gave the Dargahs at Mahim and Haji Ali, the Portuguese built the two Portuguese churches, one at Prabhadevi and the other St Andrews at Bandra.

They built forts at Sion, Mahim, Bandra and Bassien. The Portuguese named the group of seven Islands 'Bom Baia', Good Bay . The British built a city out of the group of seven islands and called her Bombay .

The original settlers of the seven islands, the Koli fishermen, worshiped Mumbaidevi, her temple still stands at Babulnath near Chowpatty. The Kolis called the island Mumbai, 'Mumba, Mother Goddess'.

Parsi contributed their best part for the development of Bombay. There are many Parasi businessmen who constructed the boon of business at Bombay.

Gerald Aungier, Governor of Bombay built the Bombay Castle, an area that is even today referred to as Fort. He also constituted the Courts of law. He brought Gujarati traders, Parsi shipbuilders, Muslim and Hindu manufacturers from the mainland and settled them in Bombay .

It was during a period of four decades that the city of Bombay took shape. Reclamation was done to plug the breach at Worli and Mahalakshmi, Hornby Vellard was built in 1784. The Sion Causeway connecting Bombay to Salsette was built in 1803. Colaba Causeway connecting Colaba island to Bombay was built in 1838. A causeway connecting Mahim and Bandra was built in 1845.

Lady Jamsetjee Jeejeebhoy, the wife of the First Baronet Jamsetjee Jeejeebhoy donated Rs 1, 57,000 to meet construction costs of the causeway.Today Mumbaikars have to pay Rs 75 to use the Bandra-Worli Sealink.

Jamshedji Wadia founded the Bombay Port Trust and built the Princess Dock in 1885 and the Victoria Dock and the Mereweather Dry Docks in 1891. Alexandra Dock was built in 1914.

A Gujarati civil engineer supervised the building of the Gateway of India . The Tatas made Bombay their headquarters and gave it the iconic Taj Mahal Hotel and India 's first civilian airlines, Air India . The Godrejs gave India its first vegetarian soap.

Cowasji Nanabhai Daver established Bombay's first cotton mill, 'The Bombay Spinning Mills' in 1854. By 1915, there were 83 textile mills in Bombay largely owned by Indians.

This brought about a financial boom in Bombay . Although the mills were owned by Gujaratis, Kutchis, Parsis and Marwaris, the workforce was migrant Mahrashtrians from rural Maharashtra . Premchand Roychand, a prosperous Gujarati broker founded the Bombay Stock Exchange. Premchand Roychand donated Rs 2,00,000 to build the Rajabai Tower in 1878.

Migrants from every part of India have also contributed handsomely to Mumbai.

Mumbai is built on the blood and sweat of all Indians. That is why Bombay belongs to all Indians.

Apart from its original inhabitants, the Kolis, everyone else in Mumbai, including Thackeray's 'Marathi Manoos', are immigrants.

The "Mumbai for Marathi Manoos" war cry has once again been raised to shore up the sagging political fortunes of the Thackeray family.

When the Shiv Sena-BJP combine came to power in 1993, under the guise of reverting to the original name they replaced Bombay with Mumbai. Chnage of name that the only think our Political party can do well. We to give respect them for construction of Flyovers all over Mumbai.

I wonder when they will discard the anglicized Thackeray and revert back to their original Marathi surname Thakre?

Those who making the noise about Mumbai today have only contributed hate and violence towards Mumbai. Bombay was part of Saurashtra before 1961 and it came to Maharashtra later on. We the people of India developed Mumbai and not some SENA. We should respect the culture of Mumbai but same time we should respect the humanity. We can not just beat Taxi Wala because he came from out side.

Mumbai belongs to people of India. Mumbai in getting the rapid growth of outsiders. Outsiders means anyone who came out of Mumbai either from Maharashtra or rest part of country. Government should speed up their planning for development of Mumbai to balance the growth.

Human is one of best surplus resource we have with us. If things can be planed well they it'll leads to development. There are many countries and cities in the world having largest density than Mumbai but they have manged the pace with rapid development of Infrastructure.

So don't beat people and help to make development of Infrastructure.
